During the COVID-19 lockdown many breweries, bars, and restaurants required food services to stay open during the pandemic, this has allowed many breweries to find an interest that customers could be interested in, bars and breweries that have food menu’s retain customers much more than taprooms without food services. Some breweries outsource food service due to the cost of equipment and food service permits. Indoor seating areas are also a bonus for breweries and bars, Indoor seating areas are an essential part for creating greater experiences with customers. Free Wi-Fi and entertainment centers could make these areas more vibrant.

Going Digital?

The Pandemic has affected the flow of many businesses and this also introduced the shift to digital platforms and digital ways of conducting business. A large number of businesses converted to digital sales and the beer industry was one of them, a few common examples of apps and software used in taprooms such as contactless QR code menu’s, online order systems and curbside pickup systems. If the brewery’s budget is big enough, they could develop their own app, or use existing delivery services. 25% of craft beer drinkers in the USA bought beer from a brewery and had it delivered to their door since the pandemic began.

CBD-Infused Beer

As Marijauna becomes more accepted and regulated across certain countries, craft breweries have started brewing CBD-infused brews. CBD-Infused beers come with benefits such as relaxation and pain relief, this product will allow breweries and bars to venture into new markets and capture newer customers, breweries could potentially statr venturing into infusing THC. CBD-infused beers have very low to non-existent ABV, this causes CBD-infused beers to leave beer drinkers with no hangovers.
